Good SpeakerThe sound is excellent for the price and the speaker is well built. The remote is useless if you have a laptop block in front and middle of the speaker. I tested both of the AUX and Optic connections. The AUX works for the headphone jack of your TV too, but not the AUX connection of all TVs. This is the same for the Optical connection.

Nice Budget Soundbar – but Serious Shipping IssuesPerfectly decent budget soundbar, but serious shipping issues. Nice frequency balance (although the “3-mode” business is just marketing – 2 of the 3 modes just sound as if there’s a pillow in front of the bar) and very fast rise time so a nice crisp sound. There is no provision for future expansion to a woofer, and no HDMI input, but it really is very nice all by itself. But the first shipment was lost, then incorrectly reported as “delivered” a couple of weeks later. And the replacement shipment was also delayed by a full week, although it eventually did arrive. TOO MUCH DRAMA for a straightforward purchase!!!

Remote interfered with TVThe bar itself sounded good, but the remote kept interfering with out month old tv. If you powered the bar on it would turn the tv to Netflix, if you tried to turn it down it would fast forward the show, etc. We tried trouble shooting, but in the end returned it. The size and design was good, it fit nicely right underneath out tv. Disappointed we had to return it as it was a good deal.

Great Sound Even Without a SubwooferThe Sound bar sounded great for its price. For those with very limited space and cannot accommodate a subwoofer, this unit is perfect for hanging on the wall or on the TV itself using sound bar hangers. However, in my case there’s a problem with the remote control Power On/Off button and did not work at all and have to return it. I would have love to keep it but to go back and forth to the TV just to turn on/off the sound bar is just too inconvenient. And Walmart was very helpful in the return/refund process.

DisappointingI have tried other Taotronics products and have found that they deliver 80 % of the quality for about 25% of the price, so they are a great deal unless you are truly an audiophile. That being said, this soundbar was disappointing. It sounds like a speaker that is 3-4 times cheaper than name brand equipment. When attached via bluetooth, there is a LOT of noise, to the point that it is unlistenable. When listing via a wired connection, it lacks the power, punch and full bodied sound of regular speakers. I wouldn’t give up on Taotronics altogether, but this particular product did not live up to the value I have come to expect.

5 stars: box content, 2.5 stars: sound qualilitySadly, I will be returning it. 5 stars for the box content, 2.5 stars for the actual sound quality. I bought it because I have trouble with voices and dialect, and it doesn’t help much except at high volumes. The overall sound is boxy and mid-rangy, and the 3 settings offer very little difference from each other. A good, solid product at a good price, but I guess I will need something a little more specialized.

Sound goes outThe sound goes out for a minute or more when playing anything: music, movie, tv, etc. Very disappointing

Don’t buy it, sound glitchesThe sound is nice and loud. Setup was pretty simple. The number one problem we have is it glitches, we’ve only had it a month now. The sound will go out for a minute and then come back on. doesn’t matter if we’re watching a movie or using Bluetooth. On and off for every other sentence practically. Super annoying.
