CONTENTS :

1/3 package (150 g) auger pasta
2-3 hazelnut sized fresh turmeric
1 teaspoon of powdered turmeric
1.5 matchboxes of feta cheese
1 handful of black olives
1 teaspoon of nutmeg
6-7 sprigs of fresh coriander or parsley
2 tablespoons of olive oil
3 pinches of salt

 

*When it comes to macaroni salad, my whole childhood is filled with recipes that look like American salad with yogurt and mayonnaise. For a while, I have been trying to combine pasta salads with the logic of Turkish cuisine beauties and make them more delicious. If you want to try  Turmeric Pasta Salad, you can follow this steps.

*To boil the pasta, put 1-1.5 liters of water in the pot and add 1-2 pinches of salt in it.
*Chop 3 hazelnut-sized pieces of fresh turmeric and throw it into the boiling water.
*Add 1 teaspoon of turmeric powder to the boiling water of the pasta.
*Add 3 handfuls of approximately 150 g of auger pasta to the pot.
*After cooking the pasta according to the cooking time in the package, drain it and transfer it to the plate while it is hot.
*Pour 2 tablespoons of olive oil over it. While the pasta is hot, absorb the olive oil well.
*At that time, cut the white cheese, which is about 1.5 matchboxes, into cubes and throw it on the pasta.
*Sprinkle 6-7 sprigs of fresh coriander over the finely chopped pasta. You can also use parsley if you don’t have quiche or don’t like it.
*Finally, add 1 handful of black olives and 1 teaspoon of black cumin to the pasta and mix well. Taste according to the saltiness of the cheese and olives and add 1-2 pinches of salt if necessary.
*Your light, blond and very very delicious Turmeric Pasta Salad is ready.
