Delicious!I grew up eating this cornbeef. There is less fat pieces in it, but I still pick them out. It is quite delicious when sauted with onion, a little seasoning

Versatile and tasty corn beefLooking for resl inexpensive meal that is tasty and versatile, look no more cirn beef can be prepared in many ways making it a good choice foe a quick meal or sandwich. But not all Corn beef are created equal, Libby is one of the best in the market. Very little grease and the can is always easy to open. Stay away from other brands that dont even bring the key to open the can.

Great meal and done in less timeI savor Libby’s canned Corned Beef:

    1. heated in a non-stick pan with a little extra virgin oil to go with steamed rice.
    2. sliced and dipped in whisked Organic or Egglands Best eggs and slightly fried in a non-stick pan with extra virgin oil.
    3. mash the corned beef and slightly heat. Mix the mashed heated corned beef with beaten whole eggs. Gently place the mixed eggs and corned beef on top of peeled broiled large Japanese eggplants then fry in a non=stick frying pan. Great with steamed white rice.

Love it.For some unknown reason Libbey’s corned beef is almost impossible to find in stores in East Texas.
I like to make my own corned beef hash and adjust the ingredients to suit my taste. There are other brands available but no others can compare to Libby’s in my opinion.

Lower in Sodium than Corned Beef HashDelicious and reasonably priced! Add your potatoes (Yukon Gold preferred), onions and you have a meal fit for kings, queens, etc. So hearty and tasty to start your mornings with!

Long time love…Excellent corned beef.I have been eating Libby’s corned beef since I was a child – so over 40 years! It’s consistently good, I stick it in the fridge so it slices easily and makes great sandwiches. Recommend it.

  7. DeeB

Great with cabbage! This can of corned beef added to fried cabbage makes a great meal for two! No need for seasonings due to the sodium in the corned beef. I make a batch of corn bread and eat like a king!

Corn beefI love the product. I love the fact that the can is easy to open without the use of a can opener. Taste really good for being a canned product.
What I do not like however is the price of almost 5.00 a can. So with that being said this is a buy every 3 to 4 months. When you live on social security every penny counts even when buying food or having to pay my rent.

Not actual corned beefAll the corned beef I’ve had in my life has been the authentic kind that was boiled in a pot. I thought I’d try this to see what it was like for convenience sake to make a simple sandwich with mustard. This is no where near being actual sandwich-worthy corned beef. It is more like corned beef pate for spreading on a cracker while hiking the Appalachian Trail. Also, it’s imported from Brazil, so I’m concerned about the quality and safety standards. That being said, it would make a perfectly acceptable survival ration. I won’t be repurchasing it.

NOT AS I REMEMBERED IT TO BE.Well I am disappointed. I many years ago, when I was young, remember my mother using this product for sandwiches. She used a fork and pulled apart what appeared to be shreds of meat that were used in sandwiches, along with lots of onions. Yes that was a lot of years ago, and the memory is not what it used to be. Sadly the taste buds are not either. I tried to use this in pasta salad, in a sandwich with various additives, soup and finally in like a hash with potato, onion, hot peppers, garlic that was the best way. The corned beef once diced and cooked seemed to break down and not in the best way. I did, several weeks ago try this product, and felt the same way which is the reason I decided to review this. It is possible that I am not using it properly? One other thing, at the time I was eating this, I felt I was eating something so terribly unhealthy, no matter what reason we purchase products like this for convenience or financial reasons sometimes we must say no…and this is one of those times for me….THANKS FOR LISTENING.
