Great cheap gate for small dogGot 2 gates for my new lhasa apso puppy. I first thought the walls had to be flush in order to use it but not true like the other reviews. You just have to adjust the top or bottom accordingly. I have molding throughout my house and this works at the bottom of the stairs and in the kitchen and walk ways. It even hold up to my dog thinking he is Evil Knevil!

Still the easiest and most solid baby gateI have used this style/brand for many years. Started with my children and then restarted with dogs.

These are strong and take a lot of jumping, bumping, climbing, etc. They are easy to set up and work for different width doors. Initially, they are a little hard to latch with the plastic locking piece, but it does get easier after it is used a few times.

As a mom and pet owner, I highly recommend these gates.

Great for the price!Purchased to keep puppy from going up stairs. The pictures were helpful in showing how to operate. Very light weight and locks into place pretty good. We marked the right groove with a marker.

Not goodReceived with a piece broken off and wood cracked on side, also no instructions supplied. The box had no damage so I don’t understand how it got damaged. Decided to make it work as can’t wait for another. It is for the purpose of making sure my tiny puppy doesn’t fall down our front steps.

An old standard with a changeThis gate has been a staple in our family over the years. It has helped with many pets and three children. I always loved the ease of use and versatility. I just bought two 32″ gates after years of being gate-less. I was disappointed to see that Evenflow had changed the locking mechanism from the metal- easy to use- to a plastic model that is difficult to use and lesser quality. I assume it is cheaper for Evenflow but also makes the gate much less desirable. The picture on the website shows the former metal latch not what it actually has.

New Design – AwfulI’m wondering if I’m the only one who really dislikes this newly designed baby gate. When something works & works well leave it alone!!!!!! I hate the new mechanisms. They don’t slide easily and just frustrating to use. The old style was so easy & simple to us. IMO this new design is junk. Won’t be buying them again.

This might not be the baby gate for you….While not a bad product, the company has redesigned the compression mechanism latch and it is more difficult to operate versus the original clip style latch.

It requires two hands to operate with a modicum of difficulty.

I most likely will not purchase this item again, but instead look for something that offers a better ease of use.

NOT DELIVERED TO MY HOUSEThis was left leaning against a mailbox at the end of our driveway, which is 200 yards from our house on a busy highway. It was NOT delivered to my house. I am very disappointed. Walmart delivery used to be great.

Terrible to initially open!Just purchased today, 3/14/2022. NOT easy to open initially! I have been using you tube videos and I can not get the gate to unlock. One video suggested a flat head screwdriver, nope!
Go with another less expensive brand/style. Look at the you tube reviews, many others can not open this gate.

JUNK VETY CHEAPLY MADEjunk. Very short, plastic webbing in the super porous cheap wood could be bent and or cut with paper scissors. do not buy if using for your children. im using to keep my older dog out of a room but im sure he could push thru these. locking mechanism is cheap plastic. i do not recommend!!!!
