don’t hesitate get the Cricket Dream.I was skeptical at first because the Cricket Dream was very inexpensive. But I needed a 5G phone so I took a chance. I have always had the Samsung Note just because of the bigger screen but I ordered a refurbished model to safe money but it had issues so in my frustration I ordered the Cricket Dream. I was amazed at how much it could do for the price and it was actually a little bigger screen than the Samsung Note. This was a win, win, win for me. I did not want to change carriers, I have always had great appreciation for Cricket and their customer service so I am very happy today.

For the cost, it is a very fine phone! For the cost, it is a very fine phone for basic, and even some higher end, use. I have been daily driving one over the last month, and here are my overall observations:

    Pros:
    – Has one of the faster processors for its price class.
    – Storage is ample enough for most people, and can be expanded.
    – Screen has good color and viewing angles.
    – Good call quality and clarity.
    – Good fingerprint sensor.
    – Has wireless charging.
    – Battery life seems excellent (I have gotten ~10 hours screen time doing basic tasks).

    Cons:
    – Screen brightness is lacking in direct sunlight. But for the price, it is to be expected, and it does not prevent it from being used. However, this is personally my biggest drawback.
    – Screen is not 1080p, and it is stretched taller than some phones. This is not completely bad, and some might prefer the larger size.
    – Camera(s) are just adequate for most uses. Takes decent pictures, but don’t expect higher end phone quality here.
    – Battery percentage seems to drop randomly at times, but this seems to be a function of the phone determining the actual level and not a failure of the battery itself. Overall battery life seems to be consistent between charges regardless.

Those are some of what I have noticed so far. If you are in the market for a basic phone which is snappy and can complete most smartphone tasks, I think this is a good option.

Good, cheap phone if you’re forced to upgrade.I had to get a new phone because my old one would no longer work with the Cricket network. I was harassed daily with text notifications that my phone would not work in February. My calls were hijacked and sent directly to Cricket customer support.
However, I was given this phone free and I’m happy with it. The only problem I’ve had has been it will not connect to charge sometimes. I thought it was the charger cord that it came with but it wouldn’t work on any that I bought. Then, it started working again. Seems to be a good phone other than the charging issue.

Okay Phone for The PriceOverall it’s an okay phone, it gets the job done. I do love the size of it which is one of the reasons I selected the Dream. There is an issue with it saying it’s not charging or charged, restarting the phone shows it’s charged which I see is a common issue upon researching it. Certainly no Samsung, I miss not being able to create folders on the app screen, they are in ABC order so you have to weed through them all. I don’t want my home screen cluttered with all the apps so I have to deal with it. I can actually block email texts which is awesome as most spam texts are from emails.

    Low End Powerhouse
The Cricket Dream5G is everything I’d look for in terms of a mid/lower end phone. I have read reviews on it glitching or hanging and I can say after using mine for about a week, it has done none of the sort. I downgraded to this from a Samsung Galaxy Note 8 and I can’t tell the difference in terms of responsiveness. They camera is okay. Night mode seems to be useless and ever though it sports a 48MP Camera, photos can see to have a ‘”Painted, Grainy” look. Not a deal breaker though. The battery lasts all day on a single charge and changes to about 70 percent in 15-20mins. My only complaint is the 720p display resolution and the screen brightness. I usually kept the Note8 around 30 percent brightness but the Dream5G has to be around 60 percent to match. Definitely a phone worth buying.

    Budget Friendly 5G Phone
Despite what they said at the store, this phone has wireless charging. Along with a host of other features (e.g., fingerprint reader, long lasting battery, decent cameras, 64GB built in storage, and a microSD slot). It’s not as wide as other phones, and it is long, but it fits well in the hand. I ordered this online, with the help of video chat support. They were very helpful.
